Initial Situation
- A completely CO₂-neutral process steam supply was established for a new production site.
- The customer’s production processes generate extreme peak steam consumption, exceeding the nominal boiler output by a multiple (factor 4–6).
- Due to special hygienic operating conditions, the entire system had to be designed in stainless steel.
The Solution from SCHNEIDER-KESSEL BERLIN®
An electric steam generator type HDO-E 900/28 (VA) was supplied in combination with a steam accumulator type DS-6000/28 (VA) – both completely in stainless steel. The system includes all fittings and auxiliary units such as mixing coolers and deaerators, as well as the control system for 72-hour operation without constant supervision (BoB). The resistance heating elements ensure reliable and low-maintenance operation.
